What is ADHD?
ADHD is a neurological condition, often times creating challenges beyond lack of focus — challenges such as lack of organization, time management, decision making and emotional regulation. Although there is no “cure” for ADHD, many of the symptoms and challenges can be managed with proper treatment and support, including coaching.
How can ADHD Coaching help?
A Certified ADHD Coach has extensive knowledge and understanding of ADHD, its traits and symptoms. An ADHD Coach understands that the challenges often go beyond lack of focus and organization, but impact self-esteem and self-confidence, leaving the individual with feelings of frustration and helplessness.
With knowledge comes empowerment. An ADHD Coach will educate the client, and create a better understanding of the impact that adhd has on the client, as well as explore with the client their individual strengths and talents.
As a Certified ADHD Coach, I am also aware of the many gifts and unique talents association with this brain type. In my coaching, I use a strengths-based approach to help the client overcome their individual challenges.
Experts in the field of ADHD endorse coaching as a means of managing the challenges of ADHD for many individuals.
