About Me

I am a professionally trained and Certified ADHD & Life Coach.  I received my certification (ACC) from the International Coach Federation (ICF), the governing body of the coaching profession, and the ADD Coach Academy (ACG & AACC), the only comprehensive ADHD coach training program accredited by the ICF.   I am a graduate of the Advanced Coaching Program of ADD Coach Academy, and JST Coach Training for Coaching Teens and College Students with ADHD.

I serve as Co-coordinator on the Executive Board of CHADD of Nassau County (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder).  I am a member of the ICF, CHADD (Children and Adults with ADHD), ACO (ADHD Coaches Organization), ADDA (Attention Deficit Disorder Association) and Long Island ADHD Professionals Consortium.

Voted Long Island’s Best Life Coach for 2015!

My Coaching Philosophy ~ I believe that we all have our unique strengths and talents.  I also believe that the power to create and live our purpose, lies within each of us.  Unfortunately, for so many who have this brain type, all too often the focus is placed on the things that are challenging, and the talents get brushed under the carpet.  Over time, these gifts and talents are often lost or forgotten.  My approach to coaching is to Educate, Embrace and Empower.  I work with the client to educate and gain a better understanding of self, because with knowledge comes power.  Through a practice of mindfulness, I help create self-awareness of thoughts and behaviors that have a negative impact on their lives.  Together, we explore the many gifts, strengths and unique talents that the client possesses.  Through developing a practice of self-love and self-care, we enable the client to truly embrace who they are, ultimately building self-confidence and self-esteem.  It is with these tools that the client is then empowered to live the life they were meant to live, achieving their goals and fulfilling their purpose.

My Personal Life ~ I have been very happily married for over 25 years,  have 3 terrific children (including a wonderful stepdaughter who came into my life when I met my husband 30 years ago) and two beautiful twin grandsons.  As the parent of an adult child with adhd, I know the challenges that a parent faces.  I also understand the challenges and struggles that my son has faced and the sometimes bumpy road we’ve traveled.  It is my passion to help those who face the same challenges and struggles, and with the proper support, make their journey an easier one.  It is also my passion to empower those with adhd, with the skills and tools necessary to achieve their goals and reach their potential.

When I am not coaching, I love spending time with my family.  We’re an active family that loves to ski, play tennis, travel and just hang out together.  I also enjoy exercising and practice yoga and meditation.
